Which favours will you deny? (Copy)
You probably must have heard to be grateful at least a dozen of times in life? I strongly believe we can’t be grateful enough. There are various ways to express gratitude. In a coaching session I was advised to write down three things every day that I’m grateful for. That’s stuff like:
- I am blessed that I have money to buy food;
- I am grateful for waking up healthy;
- I am grateful I have nice clothes to wear.
However these kind of list are a good reminder for everything you to make these kind of lists, , I think it might start feeling like a chore to write these things down every day. And how much will your daily gratitudes actually touch your soul, especially when stuff is going bad and your in a less positive mindset?
When stuff is going bad, that’s your real test to show how grateful you really are. Its easy to be grateful when everything is fine. Its less easy to be grateful when things are not going your way.
The true warrior will find gratefulness even in times of suffering. I have some ways I want to share to motivate you to find that gratefulness. In this blog I will share the first way that one day came to my mind:
It’s being grateful for what you DID NOT get.
Huh, how to be grateful for something you didn’t get? This needs explanation right? Ok, so here it is:
We know the favors we have are so much that they can’t be counted. Now imagine how uncountable these favors are when you take into consideration everything you didn’t get:
Today you didn’t get an accident, a motorcyclist did. You didn’t get mugged, the old lady at the bus station did. You didn't get problems at work but your friend did. Today you didn’t have a fight with your partner at home like last Monday (and eventually that messed up the whole week, right😊?) The list is limitless. Ever thought about it that way?
